Our Favorite Blood Donor Recruitment Social Media Posts from May

A new month calls for new favorite blood donor recruitment social media posts! We love sharing the creativity that blood centers have been employing to make their content engaging.

Atlanta Blood Services

We’re all about donor experience and love that this post shows how well Atlanta Blood Services knows their donors! This particular donor, it was their 25th time donating platelets and they even noted she drives 75 miles to do so. We see a lot of posts showcasing donors but love that extra tidbit of information of the sacrifice she makes to do so.

Kentucky Blood Center

We love Kentucky Blood Center’s new logo and signage! They were also creative in how they unveiled it on social media with a fun Reels trend.

American Red Cross

We all know that engaging your blood donors and building community both in person and online is greatly important. This is why we love this simple post from the Red Cross - look at that engagement too! People like to feel important and valued so by posing a question that allowed the audience to share that they could engage with worked well for them!

Community Blood Bank

Talk about a great, in-season promotion! Community Blood Bank leaned into this fun summer hobby by offering donors a chance to win a pair of kayaks if they donated blood

Central California Blood Center

We’re getting kids involved with donating blood early! While they may still be too young to donate, we love how they were included in this Tiktok to share important blood donation stats. Plus, you could tell they loved being included in this video too.

Lifesouth Community Blood Centers

We love how Lifesouth took a “critical need” situation and created content about the need for blood without using the words “critical need” or “emergency,” which can often be overused and become less effective in times of true desperate need for blood.  We also really like their call to action on this post. It gives a superhero vibe and makes the donor feel like they are part of something bigger.

One Blood

We love this reel from One Blood because it helps let donors know what to expect during their blood donation. This day-in-the-life style video also had much higher views than their average reel.

Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center

This is an emotional reel, but one that hits home. We love how well-produced it is along with the fact that it ends on a happy note. And with the amount of likes, it’s clear that it resonated with Gulf Coast’s audience too.

New York Blood Center

This reel highlights NYBC’s newest promo in the heart of Central Park, giving New Yorker’s more than one reason to stop their scroll. It has more than double the view of many of their other reels too!

We’re so excited to see blood centers using social media trends and trying new things to bring in more donors. Our hope is that these roundups help you and your team get inspired to create new types of content for your blood center. Happy posting!
