Top Blood Donor Recruitment Social Media Posts in September

We hope you’ve been liking this series as much as we love highlighting some great blood centers’ social media content! September’s content was no different - there were several we saw that we instantly knew needed to be included in this post. Let’s get into it!

Ads that caught our attention:

We Are Blood

Scrolling the feed, you wouldn’t have been able to tell this was an ad! This ad leans into UGC (user-generated content) by showing a blood donation recipient and how donations helped her and has inspired her to now donate blood to give back.

San Diego Blood Bank

This ad is super well-produced! We love how engaging it is and informative - speaking to other Latinos in the area and encouraging them to donate blood to help those in their community!

Central California Blood Center

The Central California Blood Center’s 9/11 Blood Drive is one of their biggest blood drives of the year. It’s a great opportunity to remember those we lost while making a difference every year. They do a great job at putting this on and the turnout is always very strong. We love this simple reel that they shared to build awareness ahead of their drive.

Kentucky Blood Center

We love a good social media trend! This Tiktok from Kentucky Blood Center helps build awareness about the donation process using a fun trend rather than simply just having a talking head share information.

@kybloodcenter The entire blood donation process, from registration to post-donation snacks, takes only about 30-40 minutes!🤯 What are you waiting for?🤔 #DonateBlood #BloodDonorsSaveLives #KyBloodCenter #Kentucky #Local #Nonprofit #SaveLives ♬ love island is messyyyy - quinta

Bloodworks NW

Another great UGC post! This Tiktok utilizes local influencers to help spread the word about blood donor recruitment. You don’t need global, or even national, celebrities to promote your cause - oftentimes local influencers are better!

@bloodworksnw We helped UW Football athletes Jonah Coleman, Kamren Fabiculanan, and Thaddeus Dixon get to where they needed to go on campus while talking about music and blood donation. They chatted about their favorite songs that get them in the zone before a game and the importance of saving lives through blood donation. That’s a wrap! Have these inspired your social media calendar for next month? Let’s get your blood center on this list!
